OVERVIEW
Running is a fundamental component of the SEAL, Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Navy Diver, and Aviation Rescue Swimmer (AIRR) pipelines, so it’s important for you to become an efficient runner without injuring yourself by trying to go too far, or too fast, too soon. Train to appropriately increase distance and intensity in your run training, using Long Slow Distance, Continuous High Intensity, and High Intensity Intervals. * Please note that while the Physical Training Guide was developed by the Naval Special Warfare Center for candidates preparing for BUD/S, the information applies to all training pipelines.
